Six Super Food Fat Burners
By Valene Dubbelman

There are a few foods that have some new research behind them and one of them has gotten a bad rap. That would be the potato. It has been said that the potato is nothing more than starch that goes right to the waistline and it is too full of carbohydrates. This has happened to a few other foods that are now being proven to be good for fat burning . These foods contain starch that is resistant . It is a unique type of dietary fiber and it resists being digested by your stomach and so never goes into your bloodstream. This means that it won't do what most carbohydrates will do and be put away as extra body fat when you eat more of them than you should. Here are the super six fat burners.

1. Beans have 8 grams of the resistant starch per ½ cup . You can snack on pinto bean dip and add them to salads They are also loaded with fiber.

2. Bananas have 6 grams of starch per 1 small banana . You can slice them up onto your cereal or eat raw. You can also dip them into yogurt and roll them into chopped nuts and then freeze them as an alternative to ice cream.

3. Yams and potatoes. They have 4 grams of starch per ½ cup. You can serve them as a cold potato salad  on the side and add cold chilled potatoes to a salad. Heat yams for 10 minuted in the microwave and then serve with butter.

4. Barley. It has 3 grams per ½ cup . You can add it to lentil salad and sprinkle onto garden salad or mix it into tuna salad.

5. Brown rice. It has 4 grams per ½ cup. It can be mixed with fat free milk and raisins and cinnamon for breakfast.

6. Corn. Corn has 2 grams of starch per ½ cup . It is good added to taco salads or mixed into salsa, burritos and quesadillas.

Resistant starch is a dieters dream . It increases the calorie burns , fills you up and reduces your hunger. It can't be beat so add these super six to your dieters toolbox and watch the fat burn off.
