How to Lose Weight Fast - Essential Tips

Maybe you are carrying around an extra 10, 20 or even 30 pounds and you want to shed them quickly, what are you to do? Many times some of the excess that may be hanging around is water weight. There are a few tips to lose water fast that will shed at least five pounds fast.

One is to drink plenty of water. Yes, this may sound a bit strange but, you are retaining water because it is your body's way of self preservation. The fact is, the human body is made up of almost 90 percent water, and that water helps keep your organs functioning properly and your mind to focus.

Drink pineapple juice. This fruit beverage is a great natural diuretic. If you can not stomach pineapple juice at full strength then water it down to taste; you will still reap the benefits.

For as much as eggs have been the subject of controversy, they are a great source of protein and an easy way to fill your belly in the morning and provide long lasting energy. For added flavor, top your eggs off with flaxseed - a good source of fiber that will help keep you regular.

Dark green leafy vegetables are cheap, quick and will easily satisfy your hunger. Consider a salad for lunch that consists of baby leaf spinach, broccoli florets and diced skinless boneless chicken. Top off your creation with a bit of olive oil and flaxseed and you will be raring to go for the rest of the day. Remember, stay away from salad dressing, olive oil will provide adequate dressing without the fat, and olive oil is good for you.

Switch from vegetable oil to olive oil, you will  lose the fat but not the flavor. Eat a sensible dinner. Think portion control, you can still eat what you want, just reduce the portions. Add a supplement to your diet. Your body is most likely starved of nutrition and will need the added support a multivitamin will provide.

And finally, a small amount of exercise is necessary. If you carry your in your belly, hips and thighs, get on all fours and do doggie leg lifts. This exercise will burn fat and tone your trouble spots. For flabby arms - use a small amount of and do triceps extensions.

An important rule of how to lose fast is: consistency. You will shed the pounds quickly if you are dedicated in doing so.
