Most everyone at some point in their life says they want to lose weight, but if all you needed to do was say you want to lose weight, no one would have a weight problem.
If just saying or wishing you could lose weight doesn't work, then that must mean you need to take actions that create weight loss.
However, you will not take the correct actions if you don't think the right thoughts about losing weight.
You see all action is preceded by a thought. You may not be consciously aware of it, but you do not do anything without first thinking it. So, effective weight loss takes a change in your thoughts so you have a change in your actions.
There is no question that no matter how much weight you need to lose, if you are currently overweight it is because you have been thinking like an overweight person thinks.
Albert Einstein said,
"The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we used when we created them."
So, to not only finally lose weight, but to keep it off you must have a solution that comes from a different level of thinking than you have right now. You have to think like a thin, fit, and healthy person.
Well then, how does a thin, fit, and healthy person think?
They think looking and feeling great is important to a long enjoyable life. They know that taking care of their body is the key to living at a healthy weight.
They also know that taking care of their body means finding and taking the time to exercise, preparing and eating healthy and nutritious foods, and having a positive mind-set consistently every day.
If you lose weight on a weight loss program, what happens when you go off of it and back to your old overweight thinking and eating habits? You usually gain the weight back and more!
Does this sound familiar? Like it or not, if you are currently overweight then you are not thinking correctly about weight loss. You must learn a new way of thinking and living to be thin for the rest of your life.
Are you going to start thinking like a thin, fit and healthy person who knows losing weight and maintaining a healthy weight for the rest of their life takes certain right actions every day? Or are you going to continue thinking like an overweight person? The choice is yours.
